Noleggio

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026 (v2026-10.2). How Noleggio collects, uses, shares, keeps and protects your information.

1. Who We Are & What This Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Noleggio (“Noleggio,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, keeps and protects personal information when you use the Noleggio app, the Noleggio Business dashboard, our websites and our support channels (together, the “Services”). Noleggio is a marketplace for renting items, hiring local services, delivery by independent couriers, vehicle rentals and rideshare, where available. It applies to renters, hosts, customers, service providers, couriers, drivers and visitors. It is part of our Terms & Conditions. Noleggio is offered in the United States only, and your information is processed and stored in the United States.

2. The Short Version

3. Information We Collect

Account and identity: your name, profile photo, bio, zip code, phone number (verified by text message) or Sign in with Apple, email, date of birth, addresses you add, and your transaction PIN (stored only as a salted hash).

Identity verification (once, before your first rental or listing, with your consent): a scan of your government ID and a live selfie. Our verification partner compares your face with the ID photo. We keep only the result (verified, when, document type and a reference number).

Payments: your card or Apple Pay is handled by our payment processor. We keep only the card brand, last 4 digits, expiry and the processor's token, never the full number or security code. For hosts, the processor collects payout and tax details (such as your SSN or EIN, which goes to the processor and not to our database); we keep status, bank name and last 4 digits.

Couriers, drivers and service providers: driver's license, insurance and registration documents and their expiry dates, vehicle make, model, color and plate, how you travel, the status and result of your background check, ratings, strikes, earnings, and route and live-location data during jobs.

Businesses and caterers: business name, permits, menu and pricing, and tax information.

Transactions: listings, requests, bookings, rental agreements and signatures, handover confirmations (including nearby-phone and Bluetooth confirmation), deposits, holds, refunds, payouts and disputes.

Location: your zip code; precise location while you share it for an active job, delivery, ride, rental or SOS; and the time and GPS location stamped on photos taken for rental or service records.

Photos, video and audio: listing photos, Veedz videos, profile photo, condition photos and video taken in the app's camera at hand-off and return, delivery proof photos, support attachments. Veedz and photos may include sound or other people if you record them.

Messages and content: messages, comments, reviews, reports, support chats and your replies to the automated support assistant.

Social: who you follow, like, save or block.

Device and usage: device model, iOS version, app version, an anonymous device identifier we generate (not the Apple advertising ID), push-notification token, the screens and actions used in the app (for example, “viewed a listing”), crash and performance reports, and approximate network information needed to deliver the Services.

Inferences: preferences and recommendations drawn from what you view, save and follow, used to personalize your feed.

4. Where It Comes From

From you (when you register, list, book, message, upload or contact us); from your device (location, camera, notifications, usage and crash data, only with the permissions you give); from other users (for example reviews, reports, messages and handover confirmations); from our service providers (identity verification, payment, fraud-prevention, background-check and map providers); from Apple when you use Sign in with Apple or Apple Pay; and from public or government sources when the law permits (for example to check a license or permit).

5. How We Use Your Information

To create and secure your account and prevent fraud; verify identity; connect renters, hosts, customers, providers, couriers and drivers; process payments, holds, refunds, payouts, taxes and tax forms; confirm hand-offs; provide tracking links and live ETAs; send service messages and push notifications; personalize your feed; moderate content and messages, review reports and enforce our Terms; run safety tools such as SOS; provide customer support; understand and improve how the app is used and fix crashes; keep records for disputes, insurance claims and legal obligations; and respond to lawful requests. We do not use your information for advertising to others, and we do not use your messages, photos or ID images to train artificial-intelligence models.

6. Safety Checks & Automated Decisions

Some decisions use automated tools: a filter blocks messages that share phone numbers, social handles or off-app payment attempts; a profile that gets three or more reports is suspended pending review; fraud checks can hold a payment or request more verification; and background-check or license results can make a courier or driver ineligible. These tools help protect the community and do not make final decisions about your account on their own where the law requires a human review: you can appeal through the Help Center and a person will review it. If we decline you because of a background report, we will tell you, give you the report's source and your rights, and let you dispute it.

7. Automated Support Assistant

When you chat with Support, the first answer may be written by an AI assistant provided by Anthropic. The question you type and the last few messages of that chat are sent to the assistant through our servers, without your name, email, phone number or account details, so it can answer from our help articles. Anything about your account, a payment or a rental is passed to a person. Anthropic acts as our service provider and, under its commercial terms, does not use this content to train its models. Please do not type sensitive information into the chat.

8. What Other People Can See

Public: your name, profile photo, bio, star rating, completed rentals, follower and following counts, your Veedz and comments, your general area (the first three digits of your zip code), whether you are identity-verified, your seller type, and roughly when you were last active (turn this off in App Settings). During a booking, the other person sees what they need to complete it: the pickup or service address after payment, your first name and photo, your live location while a job is in progress, and your messages with them. A delivery tracking link shows the order's status and the courier's progress to whoever has the link, for a limited time. Never shown to other users: your phone number, email, date of birth, full zip code, payment and payout details, ID images, who you blocked, and what you reported.

9. Location

We use your zip code to estimate how far listings are. Precise location is used only with your permission and only while a delivery, service, ride or vehicle rental you accepted is in progress, or when you start SOS. During those jobs the app may keep sharing your location while it is in the background, so the other person sees an accurate ETA and so the safety team can help in an emergency; it stops as soon as the job ends, and the app shows an indicator while sharing. We do not track your location otherwise, and we never sell it. Delivery and ride route data is kept for 90 days for disputes and safety, then deleted. You can change permissions in iOS Settings; turning them off limits deliveries, services, rides and rental features that need location.

10. Biometric Information

The face check during identity verification creates a mathematical representation of your face to compare with your ID photo. It is processed by our verification partner for us, only to confirm your identity and prevent fraud. We ask for your written consent first; if you say no you cannot rent, deliver or drive. We do not sell, lease or trade biometric data, and we do not use it for advertising. ID images, selfies and face data are deleted within 30 days of the check, or earlier when the check is finished, except while a check is being reviewed for fraud or required by law (and then no longer than one year). Nobody can use the face check to identify you in the app, in public or against other databases.

11. Background Checks

Couriers and drivers who apply to take deliveries or rides authorize a background check separately. A screening company prepares a consumer report (criminal history and motor-vehicle record where applicable). We receive the result and keep a record of the decision. Reports are used only to decide eligibility, and you can get a copy, dispute errors and respond before a final decision, as federal, state and local fair-chance laws require.

12. Who We Share It With

We share information only as needed to run the Services:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the data of anyone under 16.

13. Analytics, SDKs & Tracking

The app uses our own analytics, which record named events (such as “opened the app” or “viewed a listing”) with an anonymous device ID, the app version and, when you are signed in, your account ID, to see where people get stuck and to count usage. They do not use the Apple advertising ID, third-party advertising networks or location. The app does not track you across other companies' apps and websites, so it does not ask for tracking permission. Sentry receives crash and performance reports with your account ID but not your name, email or message text. Our websites and the Business dashboard use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and remember settings; they do not use advertising cookies. We treat a browser's Global Privacy Control signal and Do Not Track setting as a request not to sell or share your information, which we already do not do.

14. How Long We Keep It

• Account and profile: while your account is active, and 30 days after you ask to delete it.
• ID images, selfies and face data: within 30 days of the check; we keep the result, date and document type while your account is active.
• Delivery and ride routes: 90 days. Tracking links: 7 days after they expire.
• Hand-off codes: 30 days. Notifications: 6 months. Business web sessions: 30 days.
• App usage events: 13 months.
• Messages, comments and reviews: while your account is active; flagged or reported content is kept as long as needed for safety and disputes.
• Photos, video and signed agreements recorded for a rental or service: up to 2 years after the rental or service ends, longer if there is a dispute, claim, insurance matter or investigation.
• Courier and driver documents and background-check decisions: while the account is active and up to 5 years afterward for legal and insurance reasons.
• Transaction, tax and payout records: up to 7 years, as tax, accounting and anti-fraud laws require.
• Support cases and reports: up to 3 years.
• Security logs and the staff audit log: up to 3 years.
When a period ends we delete or de-identify the data. Some data lives in backups for a short, limited time after deletion.

15. Security

Personal and payment details are stored in the iPhone Keychain, never in plain app storage, and app data is encrypted at rest. Private info is shown masked and revealed only after Face ID or your passcode. Payments and changes to payment details are confirmed with your transaction PIN, locked after repeated wrong attempts. The screen is hidden in the app switcher. Our database enforces row-level access so each person reads only their own private records, files are in private storage with size and type limits, staff access needs a personal access code in addition to sign-in and is logged, and servers use encryption in transit. No system is 100% secure. If a breach affects your information we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

16. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know and access what we hold about you; correct it; delete it; receive a portable copy; limit our use of sensitive information; opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, targeted advertising and certain profiling (we do none of these); withdraw consent; and not be discriminated against for using your rights.

How to use them: download your data in App Settings → Download My Data; edit it in My Profile; delete your account in App Settings; or send a request through the Help Center or to support@noleggio.app. We may ask for information to verify it is you, and for requests to delete we may require Face ID or your passcode. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your written permission. We respond within 45 days (we may extend once by 45 more days, and we will tell you why). If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or writing “Privacy Appeal” to support@noleggio.app; we answer in 45 days, and if you are still not satisfied you can contact your state attorney general. We may keep information we must keep by law, for fraud prevention, or to resolve disputes.

17. Notice for California Residents

This section supplements the rest of this Policy for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA). In the past 12 months we collected these categories of personal information, as described in Section 3, and disclosed them to the service providers named in Section 12 for business purposes: identifiers (name, phone, email, device and account IDs, IP address); customer records (address, payment card brand and last 4); characteristics of protected classifications (age, from your date of birth); commercial information (rentals, bookings, payments); biometric information (face check, by our verification provider, deleted within 30 days); internet and app activity; precise geolocation; audio, electronic and visual information (photos, videos, voice in videos); professional information (business and courier or driver credentials); government identifiers (license or passport number as read during verification, and last 4 of a tax ID); inferences (feed preferences); and sensitive personal information (government IDs, precise geolocation, biometrics, account log-in with a PIN or credential, and the contents of messages sent through the app). We use sensitive personal information only to provide the Services you ask for, to prevent fraud and secure the Services, and for safety, so we do not offer a “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” link. We do not sell or share personal information (including that of anyone under 16). Retention periods are in Section 14. California residents may also ask once a year for a list of the personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing (Civil Code § 1798.83); we do not make such disclosures. Our Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control practices are in Section 13.

18. Notice for Residents of Other States

If you live in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the rights described in Section 16, including the right to appeal a refusal. We process sensitive data (precise geolocation, government ID and biometrics) only with your consent, which you give when you permit location or start identity verification, and you can withdraw it at any time in iOS Settings or by deleting your account. We do not sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or profile you in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human review. Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information. Illinois and Texas residents: see Section 10 for biometric information. Residents of any state may contact their attorney general if they have concerns.

19. Children's Privacy

Noleggio is only for people 18 and older, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, report it from their profile or contact us through the Help Center and we will delete it.

20. Third-Party Links & Other Users' Information

Links and features that leave Noleggio, such as maps or payment pages, are governed by those services' own policies. If you give us information about another person (for example a recipient's name for a delivery), you confirm you have the right to do so. Other users may take screenshots or copy what you share with them; share only what you are comfortable with.

21. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your consent. The “last updated” date above shows the current version. We keep prior versions available on request.

22. Contact

Questions, privacy requests and appeals: the Help Center in App Settings, or support@noleggio.app. Please include “Privacy” in the subject so it reaches the right person.
